ABOUT ME

I am a Professional Engineer located in the Wilmington, NC area.  I serve North Carolina and South Carolina.  I received my SC professional engineering license in 1996 and my NC license in 2000.  It has been my pleasure to assist hundreds of General Contractors and Home Builders as well as home owners since moving to the Wilmington area with a wide array of engineering and design services.  My construction related services include structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC engineering as well as building and home design.  I also provide structural inspection services for commercial and residential buildings.  

I graduated cum laude from Clemson University in 1981.  I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the School of Engineering.  I also received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Science and Management from the School of Architecture.  

Prior to moving to the Wilmington area in 2006, I owned and operated a Commercial General Contracting firm for 23 years.  We had an unlimited contractor licenses in South Carolina and North Carolina.  Substantially all projects constructed by my firm were designed and engineered by myself.

The experience I received from operating the general contracting firm as well as the 10 years of field experience in the construction industry working at my father's general contracting company offers my clients a perspective which is rare in an engineer.  My engineering designs work well and easily for the contractors.  My drawings give the field staff all the necessary information and details to do the job correctly the first time.
